The Parents Council plays an important collaborative and supportive role within the school community, working positively alongside school management, teachers, students and parents to promote the well-being and success of all students. 

In accordance with the Adamstown CC Parents Council Constitution and the policies of DDLETB, the school patron, its objectives include fostering good relationships between parents, teachers, students and school management; promoting the moral, social and cultural well-being of students; and representing the views of parents in an advisory and consultative capacity in relation to the College and its policies. The Parents Council will also organise and support events, talks and seminars that benefit students and parents.

The Parents Council and the school should work together in a positive, respectful and constructive manner, with each recognising and respecting the appropriate roles and responsibilities of the other. In line with the Adamstown CC Parents’ Constitution , the Parents Council does not get involved in decisions relating to the day-to-day running of the school, the curriculum, the appointment of teachers or individual complaints. Instead, its role is to provide constructive support, facilitate positive engagement and contribute to a strong and inclusive school community for the benefit of all students. 

Official communication from the Parents Council will be shared through its designated Facebook page and website, in accordance with DDLETB Social Media & GDPR policies, ensuring that information is communicated clearly, safely and appropriately to the wider parent community.
